How to rotate an image
- Drop your image into the box, choose a file, or paste one. Add several to turn a whole batch the same way.
- Click Rotate left or Rotate right until it’s the right way up. Click twice to turn it 180°. To level a tilted horizon, drag Straighten or type the angle.
- Click Download to save the rotated image. A batch downloads as a zip.
Which way is which?
Rotate right turns the image clockwise, the way a clock’s hands move. Rotate left turns it counter-clockwise. A photo lying on its left side needs rotating right, and an upside-down photo needs two turns in either direction.
Rotate or flip?
Rotating turns the whole picture around its centre, so text in it still reads normally. Flipping makes a mirror image, so text comes out backwards. To fix a mirrored selfie, use flip image instead.
