Count the pages in PDF files

Count pages in many PDFs at once.

Many password-protected PDFs can be counted too.

How to count the pages in PDF files

  1. Drop one or more PDFs into the box, or choose them. A whole folder’s worth works.
  2. Read the total at the top, and each file’s pages, paper size and file size in the list.
  3. Click Copy list to paste it into a spreadsheet, or Download CSV to save it.

Why count pages

Print shops and copy centres price by the page, translators and typists often quote per page, and many application portals cap a submission at a set number of pages. Counting by opening each file is slow when there are dozens; dropping them all here gives every count and the total at once.

Copying the results

Copy list puts the results on your clipboard as a table, one file per row with a total at the end, ready to paste into Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers. Download CSV saves the same table as a file, with the size in bytes so a spreadsheet can add it up.
