How to convert JPG to WebP

  1. Drop your JPG photos into the box or choose them.
  2. Set the quality, and a maximum size if the photos are larger than they need to be.
  3. Compare with the divider on the preview, then download each WebP or all of them as a zip.

Getting photos ready for a website

  1. Resize first. A 4000-pixel phone photo is wasted on a page that shows it 1200 pixels wide. Use Max size to bring it down.
  2. Convert to WebP at quality 75 to 85.
  3. Check the preview at full size for any blockiness in skies, skin and gradients, and raise the quality if you see it.

Together these usually take a multi-megabyte photo down to 100 to 300 KB.
