How to convert JFIF to PNG
- Drop your JFIF files into the box or choose them. You can convert many at once.
- PNG is already selected, so there’s nothing to set.
- Download each PNG, or all of them together as a zip.
When PNG is the better choice
- An editor, design app or website asks for PNG.
- You’ll edit and save the image several times and don’t want each save to add JPEG loss.
- You’re adding text, arrows or graphics on top, which stay sharper in PNG.
If you only need the file to open everywhere, JFIF to JPG gives a much smaller file.
About JFIF files
JFIF stands for JPEG File Interchange Format, the layout most JPEG files use inside. Files ending in .jfif are usually images saved from a browser on Windows. Apps that check the file ending often reject them even though the picture is a normal JPEG.
