What five minutes shows

Short tests reward a fast start. Over five minutes, small habits decide the score: how quickly you recover from a mistake, whether you look down at the keys, and whether your pace holds up after the third minute. The graph at the end makes this visible. A line that slopes down tells you to practise longer runs; a jagged line shows where hard words or errors broke your rhythm.

Getting ready for a longer test

Sit with your feet flat and the screen at eye level, and rest your fingers on the home row before you start. Keep breathing and keep a steady rhythm rather than bursts of speed. Accuracy pays off most on a long test, because every mistake costs time to notice and fix.

Your best five minute score is saved on this device, separately from shorter tests, so you can watch it improve over weeks of practice.
