How to make zalgo text
- Type your text into Input.
- Move Craziness from 1 for a light glitch up to 10 for a full mess.
- Copy the result. Click Regenerate for a new random set of marks until you like the look.
Where the name comes from
Zalgo comes from an internet horror meme in which ordinary comic strips were edited so a creature called Zalgo slowly corrupted them, with the text dissolving into a mess of marks. The name stuck to the text effect itself. Today people use it for horror posts, Halloween captions, “cursed” memes, glitchy usernames and anything that should look like the screen is breaking.

Test it where you’ll post it. Apps draw combining marks differently, and some clip them at the edge of a message bubble.
