How to flip text upside down
- Type your text into Input.
- The flipped version appears in Result as you type, with the last letter first.
- Copy it and paste it into your post, comment or chat.
Where people use it
- Australia jokes: anything “from down under” is the classic.
- Replies like “I’m laughing so hard I fell over”, where the flip is the punchline.
- April Fools and puzzles, since readers have to tilt their head or their phone.
- Standing out in a feed: an upside-down line is hard to scroll past.
Some flipped characters
| Normal | Flipped |
|---|---|
| a e h m | ɐ ǝ ɥ ɯ |
| r t y | ɹ ʇ ʎ |
| ! ? & | ¡ ¿ ⅋ |
| b d p q | q p d b |
| A C E | ∀ Ɔ Ǝ |
Characters without a look-alike, such as accented letters and emoji, stay as they are but still move to their reversed position. If you only want text written backwards without flipping the letters, use reverse text.
