Speaking Pig Latin
Pig Latin is a language game English speakers have played for well over a century, mostly as children trying to talk without adults following along. It isn’t related to Latin: the name is a joke about it sounding like a foreign language.
To speak it, move the first sound of each word to the end and add “ay”. It’s about sounds, not spelling, so words that start with two consonants making one sound, like “sh”, “ch” and “th”, move both letters: ship becomes ipshay and the becomes ethay.
