Where all caps is the norm
- Form fields that ask for names and addresses in BLOCK CAPITALS, such as passport and visa applications.
- Short labels, buttons and headings where a few words need to stand out.
- Product codes, postcodes and serial numbers that must be typed exactly.
Long text in capitals is slower to read, because every word becomes a rectangle and you lose the word shapes your eyes rely on. Keep it for short pieces.
