How to play TriPeaks Solitaire
- Twenty-eight cards form three peaks. The bottom row is face up; a card turns face up once both cards resting on it are gone.
- Click a face-up card to play it onto the pile if it’s one rank higher or lower, in any suit. Kings and aces join up, so an ace goes on a king and a king on an ace.
- When nothing fits, click the stock to turn a new card onto the pile. Clear all three peaks to win.
Tips for winning TriPeaks
- Choose the direction that opens more cards. When a 7 and a 9 both fit an 8, play the one that turns over a face-down card or leads into a longer chain.
- Clear the peaks evenly. Face-down cards at the tops of the peaks are freed only from below; working on all three peaks keeps your options open.
- Look ahead before you play. Count how long each possible run would be. A run of six beats a run of two followed by a wasted stock card.
- Save the stock. Each stock card is a fresh start, but there are only 23. Use every move on the table before you turn one.
About the game
TriPeaks is a one-deck solitaire game in which 28 cards are laid out as three overlapping peaks and the rest form the stock. You build a single pile one rank up or down, wrapping between king and ace, and turn stock cards when you’re stuck. This version can deal only games that are possible to win, counts your runs, and keeps your wins and best time on this device.
