How to convert TIFF to JPG
- Drop your TIFF or TIF files into the box or choose them. You can convert many at once.
- Set the JPG quality. A multi-page TIFF gives one JPG per page, or only the first page if you choose.
- Download each JPG, a zip of a multi-page file’s pages, or everything together.
Why convert TIFF files
TIFF is common for scanned documents, faxes, print artwork and camera exports, because it can store images without losing any detail. Most browsers apart from Safari can’t show TIFF images, many websites won’t accept them, and the files are large. JPG opens everywhere and is much smaller, which makes it the easier choice for emailing, uploading or viewing on a phone.
JPG or PNG?
Pick JPG for photos and colour scans, where small files matter most. Pick TIFF to PNG for text documents, line drawings and anything with transparency: PNG keeps every pixel exactly, so letters stay crisp, at the cost of a bigger file.
