How to convert MOV to MP4
- Drop your MOV videos into the box or choose them.
- Each one is converted to MP4. The progress shows next to the file.
- Download the MP4s one by one, or all of them as a zip.
MOV and MP4 are close relatives
Both formats come from the same family. MP4 was based on Apple’s QuickTime MOV format, so they can hold the same video and audio. That’s why this conversion is usually a quick rewrap rather than a slow re-encode: the picture and sound stay exactly as recorded.
Large iPhone videos
A minute of 4K iPhone video is around 350 to 400 MB. If you need the file smaller for email or messaging, compress the video instead, which also saves as MP4.
