About liters and milliliters
Multiply liters by 1,000 to get milliliters. 0.25 L is 250 ml, 1.5 L is 1,500 ml and 0.75 L is 750 ml.
Measuring jugs and syringes are marked in ml, so you convert whenever a recipe, a fertilizer dose or a mixing ratio is given in liters. It also makes small decimal amounts clearer: 0.05 L is just 50 ml.
Examples
- 0.25 L (a quarter liter, about a cup) is 250 ml
- 0.5 L (half a liter) is 500 ml
- 1.5 L (a large water bottle) is 1,500 ml
- 2 L (a 2 liter soda bottle) is 2,000 ml
