How to convert days to weeks
- Take the value in days.
- Use the formula weeks = days ÷ 7.
- For example, 14 d is 2 wk.
About days and weeks
A week has 7 days, so divide days by 7 to get weeks. 21 days is exactly 3 weeks, 30 days is 4.29 weeks and 100 days is 14.29 weeks. To write it as weeks and days, take the whole number of weeks and the remainder: 30 days is 4 weeks and 2 days.
Return windows, trial periods, visa stays, prescriptions and countdowns are often given in days, while plans and calendars run in weeks. This counts calendar days, so weekends are included.
Examples
- 14 d (a two-week vacation) is 2 wk
- 30 d (a 30-day return window) is 4.29 wk
- 90 d (a 90-day stay, as in the Schengen 90/180 rule) is 12.86 wk
- 280 d (a full-term pregnancy counted from the last period) is 40 wk
