How to make a GIF from a video

  1. Drop your video into the box or choose it.
  2. Drag the handles on the timeline to the part you want, ideally a few seconds. Play it to check.
  3. Pick a width, frame rate, speed and whether it loops, then click Make GIF. Check the GIF below the timeline and download it.

Tips for good GIFs

  • Keep it short: 2 to 6 seconds is the sweet spot for reactions and loops.
  • Choose a clip that starts and ends on a similar frame, so the loop looks smooth.
  • Smaller is better for sharing. 480 px wide looks sharp in chats and loads quickly.
  • If the GIF is still too big, run it through the GIF compressor or share it as MP4 instead.
