Planning around the London day

The Indian afternoon is the London morning. The UK starts work at 1:30 pm Indian time in summer and 2:30 pm in winter, so calls fit between then and the end of the Indian day. Staying until 6 pm in India gets you to 1:30 pm in London in summer, or 12:30 pm in winter.

The other way round, the end of the UK working day is late evening in India. 5 pm in London is 9:30 pm in India in summer and 10:30 pm in winter, so messages sent at the end of the UK day are usually read the next morning in India.

Some browsers show UK summer time as GMT+1 in the result rather than BST. They are the same thing.
