How to extract URLs from text

  1. Paste your text, Markdown or HTML source into Input.
  2. Read the list in Links, one per line in the order they appear.
  3. Copy or download the list. Turn off Remove duplicates to see every occurrence.

Paste a page’s source and you get every absolute link in it: the targets of href attributes, image and script addresses in src, and any links written in the text. Quotes and angle brackets around an address are never included, so the results are clean.

Only the address itself is extracted, not the link text. If you need the readable text of the page as well, run the same HTML through HTML to text.

Common uses

  • Check every link in an article or newsletter before it goes out.
  • Collect the sources from research notes, a chat export or a long email thread.
  • Audit which outside sites a page links to.
  • Turn a messy paste of bookmarks into a clean list, then put it in order with Sort lines.

Nothing you paste is uploaded. The links are found in your browser and nothing is visited or checked online, so the tool can’t tell you whether a link still works.
