What is my browser?

Your browser, version and user agent.

Checking your browser…

Everything is read by your browser on this page and nothing is sent anywhere.

Runs in your browser. Nothing uploaded.

How to find out what browser you have

  1. Open the page. Your browser, its main version and your operating system are shown at the top.
  2. The list below adds the full version, rendering engine, screen and window size, language, time zone and what your browser supports.
  3. Press Copy user agent or Copy all details to paste them into a support request or a bug report.

Why support teams ask for your browser

Many website problems only happen in one browser or one version. When you report a bug, the browser name, its full version, the operating system and the window size let a developer reproduce what you saw. The user agent string bundles most of that in one line, and Copy all details adds the screen, language and time zone too.

Browser, engine and operating system

Most browsers are built on one of three rendering engines. Chrome, Edge, Opera, Brave, Vivaldi and Samsung Internet use Blink; Firefox uses Gecko; Safari uses WebKit. On iPhone and iPad, every browser has long used WebKit underneath because of Apple’s rules, so Chrome on an iPhone draws pages much like Safari does. That’s why a page can look the same in two differently named browsers, and different in two versions of the same one.
