How to come up with a username
- Pick a style: adjective and noun (BraveOtter), a word and a number (otter482), an action and a noun, or two nouns.
- Type your name or a word you like to build usernames around it, and set the longest length the site allows.
- Press Generate usernames or Space for a new batch, then copy the one you like and check it's free on the site.
What makes a good username
- Easy to say and spell. If you tell someone your username, they should be able to type it right the first time.
- Short. Under 15 characters fits almost everywhere and is easier to remember.
- The same everywhere. One username across games and social apps makes you easier to find; check it’s free on all of them before you commit.
- Avoid personal details like your full name, birth year or school in public usernames.
For a password to go with it, use the password generator.
