How to convert a Unix timestamp

  1. Paste timestamps or dates into Input, one per line. Type now for the current time.
  2. Numbers become dates, shown in your chosen zone, as ISO 8601 in UTC and as a relative time (“3 years ago”). Dates such as 2026-07-04 18:30 become timestamps.
  3. Choose whether dates are shown and read in your time zone or in UTC.

Reading timestamps at a glance

A 10-digit timestamp starting with 17 falls between November 2023 and early 2027. The number grows by 86,400 every day, about 31.6 million a year, and 1 billion was reached on 9 September 2001. If a timestamp has 13 digits, it’s in milliseconds: drop the last three digits to get seconds.
