Does every maze have a solution?
Yes, exactly one. The mazes are what's called perfect: there's one path between any two spots, with no loops and no closed-off areas, so the way from start to finish is always unique.
How are the mazes made?
A path wanders through a grid at random, knocking down walls as it goes and backing up when it hits a dead end, until it has visited every square. This method makes long, winding corridors with many dead ends.
Can I print a maze with its answer?
Yes. Print or download the maze first, then tick Show the solution and print or download again. The second copy has the answer path drawn in orange.
Which size suits kids?
Easy (10 × 8) suits young children, and Medium most kids from about 7. Hard and Huge take adults a while, especially on paper.
