How does the symmetry work?
Each line is drawn again at even angles around the center: with 8 copies, every 45 degrees. Mirror also flips each copy, like folding paper, which gives the balanced look of a classic mandala or snowflake.
Can I change the number of copies partway through?
Yes. New lines use the new number and earlier lines keep theirs, so you can mix, for example, an 8-fold center with a 16-fold outer ring.
Is my drawing saved?
Yes, in this browser, along with your brush settings. It’s still there when you come back, and Undo still works. Clear can be undone too. Download a PNG to keep a copy elsewhere.
Why are the corners of the PNG transparent?
The mandala is drawn inside a circle, so the PNG is the same circle and the corners outside it are left empty. Lines that ran past the edge are cut where the circle ends, just as you saw them while drawing.
