How to convert Eastern Time to Pacific Time
- Type the Eastern time in Time, like 9:00 or 4:30 pm, and pick the Date.
- From is already set to Eastern Time and To to Pacific Time. Swap them to go the other way.
- Read the Pacific time. The table below lays out the whole day in both zones and marks the hours when both coasts are at work.
Eastern to Pacific time table
Every 3 hours on July 15, 2026 (EDT to PDT). Because the gap stays at 3 hours, the same table works in winter for EST to PST.

Scheduling from the East Coast
- A 9:30 am Eastern meeting is 6:30 am in California. Most West Coast teams won’t be online yet.
- 8 pm Eastern is 5 pm Pacific, so a West Coast colleague can still answer an evening email before they log off.
- Arizona mostly stays on MST (UTC−7) all year. In summer it matches Pacific Time and in winter it’s an hour ahead of it, so pick Phoenix in the converter if that’s where you’re calling.
- Before 3 am Eastern, the Pacific side is still on the previous day.
