How to use the decimal to time calculator
- Type the Decimal hours, such as 7.75 or 38.2.
- Read the same time in hours and minutes.
- Add an Hourly rate to see what that time pays.
Decimal hours to minutes
| Decimal | Minutes |
|---|---|
| 0.1 | 6 |
| 0.25 | 15 |
| 0.5 | 30 |
| 0.75 | 45 |
| 0.9 | 54 |
Minutes = the decimal part × 60. If the result has a fraction of a minute left over, it is shown in seconds, so 1.33 hours is 1 hour 19 minutes 48 seconds. For whole shifts with start and end times, the hours calculator adds them up for you.
