How to convert centimeters to millimeters
- Take the value in centimeters.
- Use the formula millimeters = centimeters × 10.
- For example, 0.5 cm is 5 mm.
About centimeters and millimeters
Multiply centimeters by 10 to get millimeters. 2.5 cm is 25 mm, 0.8 cm is 8 mm and 14.2 cm is 142 mm.
Technical drawings, CAD software, 3D printers and hardware are all specified in millimeters, even when you measured the object in centimeters. Converting first avoids parts printed or cut ten times too small.

- 1 cm (one centimeter) is 10 mm
