How to convert centimeters to feet
- Take the value in centimeters.
- Use the formula feet = centimeters ÷ 30.48.
- For example, 30 cm is 0.984 ft.
About centimeters and feet
A foot is exactly 30.48 cm, so divide centimeters by 30.48 to get feet. One centimeter is 0.0328 feet. Dividing by 30 gives a quick estimate that comes out about 1.6% high.
The result is in decimal feet, which is fine for room sizes and materials. For a person’s height you usually want feet and inches instead, which takes one extra step shown below.
