How to play Block Puzzle
- Drag one of the three pieces onto the board. On a phone the piece floats above your finger so you can see where it lands; a click on a piece and then a square works too.
- Fill a whole row or a whole column and it clears. The squares that would clear light up before you drop the piece.
- When all three pieces are placed you get three new ones. The game ends when none of the pieces left can fit anywhere.
Tips for a higher score
Big pieces like the 3 by 3 square and the long lines need space, so build along the edges and keep the middle open. Clearing two lines at once scores three times as much as one, which often makes it worth filling two rows and clearing them together.
Look at all three pieces before you place any: the right order can make room for the awkward one, while a piece placed first can block the only spot for the next. Avoid leaving single holes, since a lone empty square can only take the smallest piece.
About the game
Block Puzzle is a placement game on a 10 by 10 grid. You get pieces three at a time and drop them anywhere they fit; any row or column you fill completely clears, freeing space. Pieces can’t be turned, so planning where each shape goes is the whole game. This version saves your game and best score on this device and works with a mouse, a finger or the keyboard.
